BUSINESS TIP:
For many small to mid-sized companies, owning a PBX system is an expensive proposition. As a capital expenditure, every penny spent comes directly out of your company’s bottom line. As with any equipment you purchase or lease, you can bet that over its lifetime it will require ongoing repairs, periodic maintenance and costly upgrades.

An easier and more cost effective solution is to utilize a “hosted service.” By doing so, your company will immediately gain communication advantages without any capital investment, equipment installation, downtime or loss of existing service.

VerScient Announces New Features:
Personal Voicemail Greetings

Our customers asked us to develop a way to record individual voicemail messages, and we've delivered.

With Converser’s customized greetings, you control what your callers hear when they are connected to your voicemail. Instead of the default Auto-Attendant recording, "We're sorry, ____ is not available. Please leave a message at the tone", you can now record your own greeting. Use it to inform your callers of your schedule for the day, or just to present a polished image for your business.

Here’s how it works. . .link to voicemail instructions

There is no additonal charge for this upgraded feature to the Converser system. Your comments or suggestions are important to us as we work to improve our product offerings.

Change Call Forwarding by Dial In

Another requested change is the ability to forward where you receive your calls by dialing in to your Personal Converser Number (PCN), instead of only using the web interface. This allows you to change your Primary Phone Number on the fly. Simply dial your PCN and press "5" . . . the system will prompt you to select from your current list of numbers or enter a new 10 digit number. That's all there is to it!

We have additional new features coming soon. Currently under development is a new "MultiRing" feature that will allow you to ring multiple phones simultaneously. For example, you can ring your desk phone and your cell phone at the same time.

client feedback:
Case Study: ShopCloseBuy

Business Problem: As the founder of an email marketing business, Mike Peterson of ShopCloseBuy needed to link together his mobile workforce and give his business a more professional image. His salespeople were on the road and frequently traveling to client meetings, relying on their cell phones for communications. Each employee gave out their cell phone number, which bound them to the minute-plan of their cellular service provider. There was no way to transfer calls between employees; they had to ask their customer to hang up and dial a ten digit number.
Moving into an office space for its five employees, ShopCloseBuy was not ready for the overhead of hiring a receptionist to handle incoming calls. When the office phone rang, it was picked up by whoever was available. Calls were answered sporadically and messages were left waiting in their voicemailboxes.

Solution: By utilizing the Converser vPBX system, calls are handled as if their employees were in the office. Callers dial the ShopCloseBuy main number, press a key, and then through Converser’s programming, callers are seamlessly routed to wherever the employee chooses to receive calls—whether in the office, working from home, or on a cell phone.

Advantage: ShopCloseBuy is able to manage call routing instantly via the Web, transfer calls between cell phones, and centralize all remote personnel under one telephone number. They were able to minimize infrastructure costs by using Converser’s hosted service instead of purchasing PBX equipment. Callers to ShopCloseBuy are greeted with a professional presence that makes a great first impression.
